Eddie Saunders of The New Jersey Connection talks exclusively to Richie Tee at the After School Club. Whilst NJC’s hit single ‘Love Don’t Come Easy’ was cutting up the dance floors in the nightclubs right across Europe and the US, behind the scenes was a very different story. Eddie explains how the music business can be an amazing ride but you gotta know how to play the game.
Back in 1981 The New Jersey Connection gained celebrity status at the very first time of trying!! The dance track “Love Don’t Come Easy” was a worldwide smash. The core of the group continued to write and produce for other artists throughout the 80’s and 90’s with Husband & Wife writers and producers Eddie Saunders and Perthea Brown-Saunders always at the helm of the creativity. Jump forward to 2017 Eddie and Perthea plus the dynamic vocals of Cynthia Wilson release new material. “Red Light Green Light” is a very danceable mid tempo funky floor filler which asks the question ‘Do You Want Me To Stay, Or Do You Want Me To Go’.
